Course Registration 2018-2019
Posted on 02/01/2018

Parents and Students -

Hard to believe, but we’re already making plans for the next school year! February is request month for students for their 2018-2019 courses. Throughout the month, students will be receiving course request forms, along with additional information from their counselors, in their Seminar (formerly Advisory) classes.

Grade level registration is staggered throughout the month to coincide with counselor visits to Seminar, and special evening parent information sessions put on by the counselors. On an assigned day, students will use our PowerSchool Class Registration system to input their requests.

PTSO’s AP Course Presentation is on Thursday, 2/8 from 6:15-7:00, and is open to all AP-eligible grade levels (10-12). Presentations from current AP course teachers and parents of AP students will cover how to select an AP course, what the workload looks like, and what the benefits of AP coursework are. The 10th grade Parent Counseling Meeting will immediately follow.

Class Registration will remain open until February 28 to allow for students to ask questions of their counselors and teachers, and edit their requests as necessary. (Seventh grade will have an early information session, with the weeks leading up until their registration to ask questions.) Students who do not complete their registration by 2/28 will have counselors select courses for them based on graduation needs and course availability.

Additional resources for course requesting can be found on the school’s website at

Please reach out to your student’s counselor if you have pressing concerns that are not answered by the information they present or the information presented on the website.
